Bicycling

From rolling hills and glacier-carved valleys to flat farm land and Oneida Lake, the bicycling routes of Madison County will take you through, over and around some of the most breathtaking views in Central New York.

Traverse the hills from Chittenango to Cazenovia. Along the way you’ll ride by the picturesque waterfalls at Chittenango Falls State Park – it’s a great photo opportunity and a must-do during the fall leaf season!

For some rolling hills and mostly flat roads, explore the renowned antique communities of Madison and Bouckville on Rt. 20 and the nearby scenic farmland and beautiful Lake Moraine.

Want to go off-road? Then ride for miles and miles alongside streams and through lush greenery on the beautiful bike trails at Charles Baker State Forest.

Are you looking to bike longer distances? Then check out Tour the Towpath and The Empire State Trail system.

Along the way, check out our quaint village shops and refuel with a meal at one of our restaurants. Or maybe you’re ready for a craft beverage? One thing is for sure, you’ll rest easy at one of our many campgrounds, B&Bs or hotels.
