DanaEvents

What’s more inspiring than events that sparkle? Not a whole lot if you ask me. Professional events like conferences, fundraising dinners, open houses, and more are all critically important, but how many people will attend if they’re missing that element of fun? Not many. I wouldn’t. If you want to attract people to your venue or cause, you need the right hook to get them there – you need to catch their attention and then once they’re there you can dazzle them with all of your wonderful information, sessions and programming. Adding the fun and sparkle to any event makes people actually WANT to attend. This is what I do! I LOVE connecting people –making those connections to new people, new ideas and new places. And I really love doing this in fun environments – especially environments that I can help you create.

What makes an event sparkle? It’s all in the details. Let’s talk!

About Dana

Why choose DanaEvents? I have the ability to see and understand the big picture when planning events. I enjoy digging into the details and engaging a diverse variety of stakeholders to create fun and successful experiences. I thrive on collaborations. My energetic personality, my love of connecting people and my attention to detail make the perfect combination for event planning.

I have experience planning and organizing for statewide associations, cultural institutions, tourism networks, museums and public festivals. I have helped direct a statewide museum association, taught in higher education, worked in museums and art centers. I have also served on statewide boards for two museum associations, and a network of cultural and tourism-related organizations. Along with these, I have years of practical experience in the hospitality business, managing and working in both the front and back-of-house operations. Here's my resumé

"Dana’s positive energy and sparkle are apparent in everything she does. As a MANY board member, she was great to work with and exceptionally good at engaging stakeholders and championing new ideas. More than just ideas, though, her follow-through is impeccable. She brought a fresh perspective to the annual conference that made it distinctive and memorable. Dana’s enthusiasm, professionalism, focus, and can-do spirit have helped to put the MANY annual conference on a national stage."

"Dana’s boundless energy, enthusiasm, organization and attention to detail truly astound me. At the Museum Institute at Sagamore she creates a phenomenal experience where every professional and personal need is met – from wine and cheese networking, to nature tours, guided visits to local museums and exceptional program sessions. Dana is extremely fun to be around and also a consummate professional. If you are part of a DanaEvent, you know you are in exceedingly good hands!"

Ember Farber
Assistant Director for Advocate Engagement/ Government Relations & Advocacy,  American Alliance of Museums, Washington, DC

"I have worked with Dana on a number of events large and small at Great Camp Sagamore. She is a very thorough, detail oriented professional who knows how to get things done. Our events involve bringing people to a very remote historic location in the Adirondacks, which makes planning especially challenging. Dana scheduled presenters, talked them through the logistical details of getting here and made them feel very welcome and appreciated for their work. I thoroughly recommend her for any event planning needs that you may have."

She easily engages stakeholders, supporters and team members to get behind an initiative, and work together to achieve a common goal."

"After having worked with Dana on successful wine-pairing fundraising dinners and various wine tasting receptions, I can attest to her exceptional skills and talents in organizing both intimate gatherings and large-scale events.  Dana is an excellent listener, keeping the organizer’s needs and objectives in mind and then putting an effective plan in place.  If problems arise, Dana handles them quickly and efficiently and doesn’t miss a beat.  She is confident, reliable and detail-oriented—the consummate special events planner."
