Overview
Hiking opportunities in the Old Erie Canal State Park, a 36-mile stretch of the 363-mile Old Erie Canal, provide flat terrain through woodland and wetland. The towpath runs the entire length of the county. The forested land adjacent to the canal is a mixture of hardwoods and conifers and is home to many species of wildlife.
