National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum

The National Abolition Hall of fame and Museum is situated in the building in which the inaugural meeting of the New York State Antislavery Society met in 1835. NAHOF has exhibits on the abolitionist inductees to the Hall of Fame, the history of American Abolition, and Female Abolitionists, displays of the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation and the Empire State in the Civil War, and DVD + Scrapbook resources. NAHOF is open May-September (Saturday and Sunday 1-5pm), for special events, and by appointment.
