Overview
Helen L. McNitt State Park was established in 1999 as a gift of 133 acres of land. The park, located on East Lake Road in Cazenovia, features 1300 feet of shoreline, mostly wetland, along picturesque Cazenovia Lake. Designed to provide limited parking and lake access through the non-wetland shoreline areas, only the launching of car-top boats is permitted (no trailers allowed).
In 2008 a parking lot was established along with a site to launch canoes, kayaks and small portable rowboats.
