One Person CAN Make a Difference!
A Local Endangered Species is Making a Comeback!
Did you know that something going on right in our own backyard is making national news?
On Wednesday, 18 July 2018 at 6:30 pm come to the Great Swamp Conservancy, Inc. (GSC) at 8375 N. Main Street in Canastota, NY, to hear an amazing story about how one person can make a big difference! The program is free and you are invited to attend.
A threatened local species is making a comeback, thanks to a graduate student at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. While defending her Masters’ Thesis, Cody Gilbertson researched for several years to determine how to expand the safety and home base of the endangered Chittenango Ovate Amber Snail (Novisuccinea chittenangoensis). Cody will share the fascinating and successful struggle that was advanced in conjunction with the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
This program is a collaborative effort between the American Wildlife Conservation Foundation (AWCF) and the Great Swamp Conservancy, Inc. (GSC). For more information, call 315-697-2950 or email email@example.com
