Overview

Introduction to Quilting: 4 sessions Wednesdays: June 8th, 15th, 29th, and July 6th.

Learn the meanings of "piece, sandwich, quilt and bind" as they pertain to making quilted placemats. We will make 4 fun placemats using jelly roll strips, cut and pieced together. We will go through all the steps of making a full-size quilt on a much smaller scale, with emphasis on cutting accurately and a "scant quarter inch". A kit with all fabrics and batting is included in the class fee. Pre-registration online required.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR/TEACHER:
Susan Poet is a retired high school teacher, living in Cazenovia. She made her first quilt in Adult Education about 40 years ago . While Susan still enjoys the traditional quilt patterns, she has morphed into creating more modern quilts. She loves the colors and designs of today's fabrics and the beautiful ways of putting them together.
