On this website you will find out how my beautiful yarn is made and the alpacas that provide me with the wonderful fiber I use to create my yarns. I also create yarn with fiber from other locally owned New York State alpaca farms. My yarns are 100% all natural alpaca. No harsh chemicals have been used to process the yarn. The fiber has been hand washed, hand carded and hand spun.

Cazenovia College’s Equine Education Center is home to stabling for the College’s Hunter seat, Western and Dressage horses, and equine facilities that include an indoor riding arena, outdoor riding ring and grass riding field and the College’s Challenge Course, a low-ropes course used for team-building activities. The EEC hosts Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and Intercollegiate Dressage shows that are open for public viewing.

Weekends in October, petting zoo, horse rides, corn maze and hayrides to the pumpkin patch and a large pumpkin throwing catapult. Morrisville’s high-tech dairy complex sits high on a hill overlooking the rest of the campus. Facilities include a freestall barn with an electronically enhanced milking parlor and classrooms connected to dairy cattle management software, two technologically advanced freestall heifer barns, and a calf barn. The college maintains a herd of 405 dairy cows. Each milking cow averages 22,000 pounds of milk per year, some which is used on campus. The college currently has two dairy programs, an associate degree in animal science - dairy and a bachelor degree in dairy management.

The Morrisville State College Equine Complex is one of the most comprehensive of any college in the nation. The Equine Breeding and Training Center, a 34,000 square-foot breeding and hunter/jumper facility, includes a breeding and foaling barn, hunter/jumper barn, five-stallion barn, a complete breeding laboratory, collection area, laptop classroom and three indoor riding arenas. In addition, the college has an 80-acre Equine Center complete with paddocks, stables, and the only half-mile harness racing track on a college campus in the nation. Additional stables include a draft horse barn with a covered round pen and runouts. The college houses more than 300 horses. The Equine Department conducts an annual yearling sale at the complex which is one of the largest of its kind in the Northeast. It also hosts several clinics each year, conducted by the top professionals in the industry.

With an emphasis on apples, the farm have over 1000 trees with 32 varieties and more on the way. The farm also features plum, pear and cherry trees. Split Rail also features a pond with Koi and gold fish, wood ducks, mallards, and screech owls nesting. So slow down, stop by, have some cider and leave with a bag of apples.
